Meryem Kassaoui, born in 1994 in Kasba Tadla, Morocco, is a multidisciplinary artist and designer. She graduated from the National Institute of Fine Arts in Tétouan in 2018. Her work embraces a contemporary and symbolic approach, combining digital illustration, installation, drawing, painting, and sculpture.

Deeply inspired by nature, bodily freedom, and vivid childhood memories spent on a family farm, Meryem has created a unique artistic world inhabited by imaginary characters. Birds – especially owls and penguins – are recurring motifs in her practice. They symbolize various interpretations of freedom, both grounded and soaring.

Through her art, Meryem Kassaoui expresses emotion, memory, and reflection. Her visual language explores a balance between the tangible and the symbolic, blending the softness of nostalgia with the vibrant energy of creation.
