Latin for "Great Dog," Magnus Canis explores themes of dominance, loyalty and hidden control. At first glance, the piece may evoke strength or protection, but beneath the surface lies a deeper commentary on power structures masked as devotion. Embedded within the artwork in binary code is a secret message pointing to the presence of unseen influence. This hidden message invites viewers to question what's visible and what's encoded, what we accept as loyalty and what may actually be manipulation. Magnus Canis challenges the viewer to look beyond the façade of obedience and confront the systems that train us to submit.
