RETNA, born Marquis Lewis in 1979, is a world reknown, Los Angeles-based contemporary artist known for his unique, glyphic script style that blends graffiti, fine art, and design. His work draws inspiration from a wide range of sources, including Egyptian hieroglyphics, Arabic and Hebrew calligraphy, and various graffiti and Blackletter styles. He has created murals for public spaces and brands like Louis Vuitton, Nike, and Chanel, and designed the album cover for Justin Bieber's Purpose.
