HAMZA HARMOUCHE

ARTIST

Hamza Marmouche (b. 1997, Temara, Morocco) is a self-taught artist whose work explores transformation, memory and identity through abstraction. His journey began when his father gifted him his first painting set, sparking a passion that grew during a gap year after finishing school. Without formal training and with limited resources, Hamza learned to paint through persistence and emotional honesty.

His art centers on themes of transformation and feelings, the invisible moment that shapes us. Inspired early on by Van Gogh's raw vulnerability and later by artists like John Singer Sargent, Mark Rothko, and Avery Singer, Hamza creates layered, abstract works that reflect on love, fear, memories, and the things that we leave behind.
